Snowflake stained glass mobile DIY

Today was all about making the craft for the kids club tomorrow at the Crafty Teacup Cafe and guess what I made? A stained glass mobile of course! And I decided to go for a Wintery theme with cute little snowflakes. So take a look below at how to make this simple craft for either yourself or with the little ones.

You will need
  • Cardboard (I used the base of a paper plate)
  • Tissue paper - use three different shades of blue
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil

Step 1
Cut out three circles from your card. Use a template like a bowl to make the perfect circle.

Step 2
Draw your snowflake design on each circle making each one slightly different (or whatever you want really). Cut the shapes out.

Step 3
Cut a circle of tissue paper the same size as your cardboard circle and stick on one side of the snowflake. Then, cut small squares of the tissue paper and start sticking onto the same side with the previous piece of tissue paper. Make sure to use all three shades of blue tissue paper. Repeat for the other two snowflakes.

Step 4
Let the snowflakes dry and then make a hole at the top and bottom of them, apart from the very last one which only needs a hole at the top. Then start attaching the pipe cleaners to each snowflake. Make a loop on the top one so you can hang it wherever you like! DONE!
